Andy's Frozen Custard Shop in Bolingbrook has stepped up to sponsor the 2009 Bolingbrook Youth Flag Football League, which plays at Central Park in Bolingbrook.
Andy's has renamed Annerino Fields at the park for the flag football season to commemorate custard shop favorites including Butter Pecan Concrete Field, Stolen Brownie Sundae Field and Hot Fudge Sundae Field.
"We are thrilled to sponsor the Bolingbrook Youth Flag Football League and really wanted to add some fun to our sponsorship " said Andy Kuntz, owner of Andy's Frozen Custard Shops throughout the Midwest. "By renaming the fields our custard shop favorites, we're sure to bring a smile to the faces of the players and attendees, if only for awhile."
The Bolingbrook Youth Flag Football League consists of three divisions for ages 5 through 14. It offers a competitive, minimal-contact football experience.
Teams compete during regular season games, with all teams qualifying for a single-elimination playoff tournament. All players receive a uniform and a participation trophy.
The season began in August and will end in late October.
Andy's Frozen Custard is at 260 S. Weber Road in Bolingbrook, and is open year-round.
